To Rowan's credit, he doesn't so much as blink in surprise at the prosthetic. He's studying medicine, to be a doctor; he's familiar enough with how these things work. That said, he can't help but be interested, even if he knows that's not the kind of conversation two strangers are going to start with.

"Not even premium unleaded," he says. Then his sarcastic tongue gets the better of him. There's only so much playing along he's going to do, especially when he's dying for someone to talk to that gets it.

"Least they could offer us better than muffins and coffee."
