[It starts out as a normal day, Ciel got his camera and made sure his phone was charged, grabbed a cereal bar from the cabinet and headed out the door. Not for school, though he's old enough to still be in high school. Determination and being generally intelligent helped him to get ahead at least a year and graduate, allowing him time to himself before looking into colleges.
So for the foreseeable future, he had every intention of expanding his photography portfolio. He was lithe and, despite not being very athletic, could be quick when he needed to squirrel away from trouble or into a good hiding place.
He hadn't decided where to take photos that day, thinking of stopping in a cafe for a quick coffee to help wake up when it happens.
He stops. And everyone else affected stops. If it weren't for the strap around his neck and attached to the camera, he'd be down one very expensive and important part of his intended career path.
What he sees- remembers?- makes no sense. He's much older than the boy he recalls and he's sure he's never set foot in England. Ciel doesn't even have the accent and that should be hard to kick, shouldn't it?
He comes out of it with a gasp, clutching his camera to his chest and reaching one hand up to touch his perfectly working right eye, debating if it's really worth trying to take any photos today. Maybe a day at home would be better.]
